Is the inside of the collar real?
No, and it is worth knowing before you list. In a traditional ghost mannequin shoot the retoucher composites a separately shot frame of the garment's inside back neck, so the lining you see is that garment's actual lining. This workflow has no second exposure to work from, so it reconstructs the inner collar from the outside of the garment — a plausible rendering, not a photograph of your label. On a plain collar the difference is invisible. If a contrast lining or a branded neck label is part of what you are selling, shoot that frame yourself or send those SKUs to a retoucher.
Does it work on a folded flat lay?
A flat lay of a single garment works, though the body depth is reconstructed rather than photographed. A folded stack does not: with several garments folded together there is no single wearable silhouette to infer, so the image comes back restaged on white but still folded. Use one garment per shot.
Can I use ghost mannequin images on Amazon?
As additional images, yes. Not as the main image for adult-size clothing: Amazon requires the main image of adult apparel to be shown on a standing model, so the ghost mannequin frame belongs in the secondary slots there. On your own Shopify or Etsy storefront the choice is yours.
