What AI cannot do here

  • Generative editing redraws the image. Faces, hands, logos and lettering can change slightly even when you ask to keep them.
  • Hair, fur, glass and other fine edges are where a new background most often looks pasted on.
  • A generated scene is a new picture, not a photo of a real place. Do not use it to suggest a product was shot somewhere it was not.

  • Inspect hair, glass, and other fine edges at full size.
  • Check logos, labels, faces, and product geometry against the original.
  • Look for shadows that match the direction of the new light.

Can I change a photo background without changing the person or product?

Ask the editor to preserve the subject, then inspect the result. Generative editing can change faces, lettering, edges, or shapes; exact preservation is not guaranteed.

How do I ask for a specific background?

Describe the place, surface, and lighting. For example: replace the background with a pale stone countertop beside a window, keeping the bottle and its label unchanged.

Is this the same as removing a background?

This workflow generates a replacement scene. It is not a precise cutout tool and does not promise a transparent PNG. Use the white-background recipe if you want a plain setting.
